Monstera Burle Marx Flame origins and Care Guide

Cultivar Origin:
Monstera Burle Marx Flame was introduced to the cultivation by Roberto Burle Marx, a plant collector, in Rio de Janeiro. He didn't keep notes of this plant origins so we hasn't discovered where it really originated from. The leaf shape resembles a flame, hence its name, Burle Marx Flame.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
The leaflets of Burle Marx Flame are very narrow and wide apart, and the sinuses (splits) go all the way to the midrib. When the plant mature, the leaves look like a ribcage. This characteristic makes Monstera Burle Marx Flame one of the most sought-after plants on the market at this moment.
Leaf texture: comparing to monstera deliciosa, BMF has thicker and more cardboard-like leaf.
Has minimal lobes and sinus, with no “ears” at top of leaf.
