Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor Care
Hats off to those who can grow this plant without sweat! I have been struggling with her for a long time until I can find what makes her happy. So today I want to share my plant care with you guys so you don't have to struggle like I did.
Tip one: Propagation: if you have a stock or a node, try to use pumice or perlite instead of moss and water. I find that the sticks will rot fast in water and moss.
Tip two: Aglaonema bicolor and Aglaonema tricolor is the same plant with different amounts of variegation. A juvenile plant will have less color variegation than a mature one. My tip to enhance the variegation is to give the plant the best bright indirect light.
Tip three: This is not your normal easy-going aglaonema, this plant will need constant hydration. Otherwise, the leaves will dry out in no time. Keep the substrate moist but water around the edge of the pot to the middle of the pot. Avoid letting water touch the base of the stem. If you keep too much moisture at the base the stem will get mushy and break.
Tip four If you cannot keep a consistent watering schedule, amp up the humidity. This plant can benefit from high moisture around the leaves.
I hope these tips help. Happy planting!
